Alitheia Core is the main product of the SQO-OSS project. The framework is a complex software system, that is assembled from a small number of dedicated components, each performing a set of specific tasks. This components mixture provides the necessary environment for running metric plug-ins and evaluating the quality of software projects.
SQO-OSS was a project that aimed to implement a software quality-checking system that can be used by Open Source software projects to gather information about the quality of their code and relate this information to other data sources such as issue-tracker, data and mailinglist archives. SQO-OSS can be utilized for management-level information to assess various aspects of a software project, such as developer productivity. The system is also useful for developers that want to use static source code analysis to improve the code.
This work was partially funded by the European Community’s Sixth Framework Programme under the contract IST-2005-033331 "Software Quality Observatory for Open Source Software (SQO-OSS)". Project contributors included the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Prosyst Software GmbH, Sirius plc, Klaralvdalens Datakonsult AB and members from the KDE project community.
